Walter Sims of North Hollywood meets lightweight contender Robert Mayweather in a 10-round, non-title fight Tuesday night at the Sahara Hotel in Las Vegas. Sims (17-2-2) boxes out of the Ten Goose Gym.

Dave Inemer of Moorpark College leads the Western State Conference in rebounds and teammate Steve Abraham is the assist leader, according to the conference.

Inemer, a 6-6 freshman center, is averaging 7.9 rebounds a game, hauling in 119 in the Raiders’ first 15 games. Abraham, a 5-10 sophomore guard, is averaging 10.6 assists a game.

Moorpark’s Danny Berryman (20.5) and Danny Camp (20.0) are third and fourth, respectively, in conference scoring.

Tony Regueira, the conference’s leading scorer at almost 23 points a game, has left the Allan Hancock team for an indefinite period to be with his ill father in Florida.
