Building Code Officials Slate Design Contest
The California Buildings Officials’ Awards of Excellence competition is accepting, through Jan. 15, entries for buildings that were completed this year.
Sponsored by California Building Officials, a Sacramento-based association of local government and code building code officials, the awards deal “not only with aesthetic appeal, but with public safety,†according to George W. Field, chairman of the awards committee. “It deals with today’s concern for energy conservation, accessibility for the physically handicapped, structural integrity and code compliance.â€
Awards will be presented in San Jose Feb. 28 in six residential and commercial categories. Information and contest applications may be obtained from Connerly & Associates Inc., 2215 21st St., Sacramento 95818.
