In their letters regarding the Book Review section June 23, William R. Mann refers to “all four of the people who read that section†(and dazzles us with other inane and uncomplimentary remarks), and Dan Watts opines that “the thrill of its discovery after the shake-out (to locate the section) is perhaps its only redeeming feature.

I suspect that these gentlemen are among the distressingly large number of illiterate cretins in this country who have never read a book and whose intellectual capacity is sorely taxed by the comic pages.
