Two medical clinic operators agreed to merge.
The tentative agreement calls for U.S. Medical Enterprises of Santa Monica, which operates seven drop-in medical clinics, to absorb American Emergicenter of La Habra, which has four emergency centers in Orange County. The deal, planned as a stock swap worth $3.2 million, is subject to the approval of the directors of both companies. The resulting company will be called U.S. Medical Enterprises and will operate four centers in Los Angeles County and seven in Orange County.
