Los Alamitos has pulled off a coaching coup, hiring long-time Riverside Poly Coach Aaron Moore to take over its baseball program.
‘It’s a great league and a one-horse town,’ Moore said. ‘It’s time for a new challenge. I’m excited.’
Moore spent 14 years at Poly, winning 10 league championships and advancing to the Southern Section Division I final three times.
His teams have played in Orange County numerous times, so he knows the coaches and players. One reason he accepted the position at Los Alamitos is it allows him to move closer to his parents who live in Dana Point.
He replaces Mark Clabough, who resigned.
