For Letterman fans, Venus and Serena Williams on tonight

This is one reason why David Letterman has the best late-night show -- he gets sports and not just the ‘ball’ sports. Tonight he is hosting Wimbledon’s winning women -- Serena and Venus Williams. The sisters won the women’s doubles title and Serena beat Venus to win the singles title.

And one would not be wrong to tune in just to see what the sisters wear. They usually come up with some spiffy stuff for national television appearances.

Letterman always is on top of his sports. He’s always sending staffers on the road to do funny bits from Yankees games or Super Bowls. He loves auto racing and invites race winners who most of us might not have heard of, but Dave doesn’t care. He likes the sport, he has the guest.
