Richie Incognito, who was suspended by the Miami Dolphins last season after being accused of bullying teammate Jonathan Martin, apparently decided Wednesday that it was time to vent some frustration.

The guard sent out a series of tweets Wednesday, criticizing Martin.

I’m ready to move on with my life and career. I’ve been dragged through the mud for months by my “best friendâ€. #betrayed #railroaded— Richie Incognito (@68INCOGNITO) February 12, 2014

Dear Jon Martin..... The truth is going to bury you and your entire “campâ€. You could have told the truth the entire time.— Richie Incognito (@68INCOGNITO) February 12, 2014

I’m guilty of being a loyal friend and good teammate. I apologize for my poor language and rude remarks. I’ve never denied it.— Richie Incognito (@68INCOGNITO) February 12, 2014

After the tweets, Incognito released a statement to NFL Media columnist Michael Silver, saying:
“The facts clearly show the allegations are false and there was no bullying. Just banter both ways between two good friends. I intend to do as I always have: focus on doing the best job I can for my team and fans and helping my team win. I will have no other comment until the Wells report is issued.â€
The Wells report refers to the independent investigation the NFL asked for to look into the alleged bullying of Martin by Incognito. That report is expected to be released sometime in the next two weeks.
