Do you think Lance Armstrong is guilty of doping? [Poll]

Lance Armstrong has given up his legal battle against doping charges, even though he still maintains his innocence.

“Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a two-year federal criminal investigation followed by [U.S. Anti-Doping Agency Chief Executive] Travis Tygart’s unconstitutional witch hunt,†Armstrong wrote in a statement released Thursday night. “The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for our [cancer] foundation and on me leads me to where I am today — finished with this nonsense.â€

He added: “I will no longer address this issue, regardless of the circumstances. … We have a lot of work to do and I’m looking forward to an end to this pointless distraction. I have a responsibility to all those who have stepped forward to devote their time and energy to the cancer cause.â€

Some might view Armstrong’s decision as an admission of guilt. Others stand by the cyclist, who is almost certain to be stripped of his seven Tour de France titles and receive a lifetime competition ban.

Even if you believe that in using performance-enhancing methods Armstrong was simply competing in an even playing field or consider the cancer survivor as a hero no matter what, please vote yes if you think he doped at any point during his competitive cycling career.
