News anchor David Ono parts with his contemporary home in Valley Village
David Ono, a familiar face in L.A.’s local news scene, has sold his home in Valley Village for slightly more than $1.68 million.
Tucked behind hedges and a white picket fence, the powder blue-hued house was built three years ago.
Open-plan living spaces include a formal living and dining area with a wall fireplace, a family room with a wet bar and a center-island kitchen. Dark wood floors, subdued colors and modern fixtures give the 3,200 square feet of interiors a contemporary vibe.
The master suite, awash in a dark gray, has a lavish bath and glass sliding doors that open to a backyard. In all, there are four bedrooms and four bathrooms on a single story.
Outdoors, there’s a covered patio, lawns and a play structure. A separate gated entrance sits off the rear of the property.
Rick Chimienti of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties was the listing agent. Teri Lewis of Robyn Jones Homes represented the buyer.
Ono has been with KABC-TV team since 1996. He currently co-anchors Eyewitness News on weekdays from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
Earlier this year, he bought the former Toluca Lake home of jazz trumpeter Manny Klein for $2.125 million.
