Comedian and actor Bryan Callen, who is developing a new sitcom for ABC set in the 1990s, has opted for a more contemporary setting on the Westside, buying a newly built home for $2.95 million.

Entered through a two-story foyer, the minimalist-vibe house features an open floor plan, polished concrete floors and modern fixtures throughout roughly 3,300 square feet of interior space. Sliding walls of glass and clerestory windows brighten white-walled living space with natural light.

Among living spaces is a great room with a fireplace, a dining area and a modern kitchen with a wide marble-topped island. A small bonus nook/gallery sits at the landing at the top of the stairs and has a bar with a wine cooler.

Three of the floor bedrooms reside on the second floor including a master suite with a glass-enclosed shower and freestanding tub. Sliding doors off the master bedroom open to a private balcony.

Outdoors, vibrant wood decking and fencing surrounds a rectangular swimming pool and spa. Built-in benches, a grill station and a lounge area complete the setting.
