Britney Spears announces her final shows in Las Vegas

Reporting from Las Vegas — If seeing Britney Spears perform in Las Vegas is on your bucket list, then get to Planet Hollywood Resort fast. The pop star just announced the final shows of her two-year residency “Britney: Piece of Me.”’
Spears booked eight dates in October, nine in November and four in December, including a New Year’s Eve finale. The show originally opened Dec. 27, 2013.
Spears just released her new single “Pretty Girls” with Iggy Azalea, and the song has already reached No. 1 on the iTunes Pop Chart. The pop princess even made room for the song in the latest rendition of her Vegas show.
The production includes more than 20 of her hits, including “Baby One More Time,” “Oops I Did It Again,” “Toxic,” “Circus,” “Womanizer” and “Slave 4 U.”
Spears canceled shows last weekend and Wednesday night after suffering an ankle injury while performing last week.
“Britney: Piece of Me” includes a four-piece band, 14 dancers, costume changes and more. Spears became the first artist-in-residence at The Axis, Planet Hollywood’s renovated theater with room for 4,600. It features one of the largest indoor video and projection installations in the world and is part nightclub, part theater, with a dance floor and table and bottle service from Drai’s Management Group.
Tickets range from $59 to $229 and go on sale Saturday, May 9.
