California: College kids who promote Mountain High on campus ski free

If you love skiing and/or snowboarding and are in college, Mountain High wants you. The resort in Wrightwood in San Bernardino County is rolling out a “college rep” program in which college kids promote Mountain High at their schools in exchange for a 2013-14 Anytime Season Pass worth $699.
“College is a great time to participate in winter sports, but juggling school and the mountain can be expensive,” says John McColly, head of marketing at Mountain High. “Our new College Rep program makes it easy to do both, plus it’s a great way to meet new people.”
The San Gabriel Mountains resort is looking for students at four-year colleges and universities in Southern California who are comfortable speaking in front of groups, coming up with promotional ideas (marketing students, are you listening?), and coordinating group trips. Along with the pass, selected students receive a sweat shirt, T-shirt and two lift tickets to share with others.
Students must be sophomores or older and have at least a 3.0 grade-point average. Applicants should send a photo, the name of the college they attend, two references and a “short letter detailing why you would make a great Mountain High rep” to social media coordinator Cody Mendoza at [email protected]. Representatives will be announced Oct. 31.
