Daily Deal: $100 dining credit with stay at D.C.’s Liaison Hotel
The Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel in Washington offers a package that allows you to plan your meals along with your sightseeing. Starting at $179 a night, the hotel spots you a $100 daily credit for food and/or cocktails at its signature and recently renovated Art and Soul restaurant.
The deal: I like this deal because the daily credit will save you a bundle on eating out. And you can peruse menus before you book to make sure the offerings will work for you.
Art and Soul, run by chef Art Smith, has undergone a renovation of the dining area and bar, and a menu change too. “Southern-inspired eatery†is how the 343-room hotel describes it, with items such as fried free-range chicken and waffles, seafood gumbo and a duck-and-rice bean stew. Or maybe you’re the deviled-eggs-and-pork-rinds type?
The Artisanal Fare Escape starts at $179 a night plus tax. The credit is good at the restaurant or for in-room dining, which is available 24/7. To get the deal, use the code Newart when making a reservation.
When: The offer is good for stays through Sept. 2, based on availability.
Tested: I checked for availability over Mother’s Day weekend (May 10-12) and found a king room for $189 a night plus tax. You could use the daily credit to treat Mom to the meal of her choice. As far as savings go, the package costs $40 more than the best available rate, so you still come out ahead -- whether or not you clean your plate.
