Central Park Hotel, 263 Hollywood Road, Central; 2850-8899; https://www.centralparkhotel.com.hk. 148 rooms, near the Man Mo Temple and the financial district. Near the Western Market. Part of the same hotel group as the Lan Kwai Fong but less expensive and slightly less conveniently located. Rooms for two from $128.

The Ritz-Carlton, 1 Austin Road West, Kowloon; 2263-2263; https://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Properties/HongKong/Default.htm. All the luxuries of a first-class international hotel, with a state-of-the-art health club and infinity pool on the 118th floor. The hotel is a bit removed from the sights of Kowloon, though the building has its own MTR station, including a stop of the Airport Express, and a large underground shopping mall. Rooms for two start at $515, depending on the season.

Ozone, the 118th-floor bar at the Ritz-Carlton. Sweeping views of the Hong Kong skyline. Well-stocked bar and light snack menu, mostly Asian tapas. Eclectic, foreign and expatriate crowd. Thumping music. Drinks from about $10.
