Are you missing Pope Francis already? Take these Vatican tours and save 15%
Pope Francis was a smash hit on his first trip to the U.S. last week. For those still in a papal state of mind, a trip to the Vatican may be in order. From now through March, you can save 15% off tours of the country where the pope rules.
Walks of Italy has nine tours of the Vatican, including one called the Pristine Sistine, which takes you inside Michaelangelo’s chapel before it opens to the public. Another tour covers Vatican Highlights of the museums and the chapel.
You can book these tours by time and date online and save 15% by using the code “VISITTHEPOPE†when making a reservation.
When: The discount is good through March 1.
Tested: I checked availability online for the Sistine Chapel tour on Oct. 10. The price of the tour is usually 89 euros ($102) but drops to $87 when using the promotion code. I found it pretty easy to get this deal.
Note too there are opportunities to see Pope Francis, albeit at a distance. He usually gives a blessing at noon Sundays from a window overlooking at St. Peter’s Square in Rome. The pope also appears on Wednesdays for a general audience with his followers.
Check the details at the Papal Audience website.
