The Grinch special at Omni San Diego Hotel

Get a laugh and a deal this holiday season with a special penny-pincher’s package at the Omni San Diego Hotel.
The deal: The Christmas special, available through Jan. 2, is called the “Grinch’s Steal of a Deal” package, the name borrowed from Dr. Seuss’ book “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.” For $149, travelers receive overnight accommodations for two, a copy of the “Grinch” book, gingerbread cookies and tips on festive things to do while visiting San Diego.
The hotel: The Omni San Diego Hotel is in the historic Gaslamp District of San Diego and is attached by a skybridge to the San Diego Padres’ Petco Park. The hotel is home to a McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant. Holiday visitors can add Christmas spirit to their lodgings by calling a week in advance to order a decorated Christmas tree in their guest room ($175).
