Deal: Oahu’s Turtle Bay Resort offers 25% savings on rooms
You can save money on Oahu’s North Shore at the area’s only resort while it puts finishing touches on a makeover.
Turtle Bay Resort has a fourth night free deal with savings calculated at 25% a night during a four-night stay in a deluxe or premier ocean view room. Based on room rates I found on available July and September dates, savings will be $275 or more.
The deal is based on availability and subject to blackout dates, such as Christmas and New Year’s. The $35 daily resort fee ($36.65 with tax) is not discounted. It provides for in-room wi-fi, free local calls, self-parking, ukulele and hula lessons, short-term rentals of snorkels or volleyballs, etc. Payment must be made in full 14 days before arrival and is nonrefundable.
During the $45-million renovation, 410 ocean view guest rooms and suites in the main building and 42 beach cottages were updated. Finishing touches are still being applied to the ocean villa condos.
A main and children’s pool were converted from chlorine to saltwater pools and 1,500 solar panels were added throughout the property. The spa and fitness center were expanded.
“We also planted a 59,000-square-foot native plant and rock garden on all lower rooftops – an effort that enhances views, and will double the lifespan of the roofing materials to two decades, as well as lower energy use,” Danna Holck, general manager, said by email.
