France: Brush up on your strokes with a painting workshop in Provence
- Share via
Artist and teacher Jill Douglas will lead a painting workshop at Fourwinds, an artists’ residency — and former quail farm — in the Bouches-du-Rhône region of Provence.
Participants will paint in the studio as well as en plein air, capturing the light and landscape that have inspired artists for centuries. Highlights include visits to Arles, where Vincent van Gogh lived and painted, and Mouriès and its weekly market. The workshop is for all skill levels, beginner to advanced.
Dates: May 16-20 and 23-27; students may participate for one week or two.
Price: $1,900 per week. Includes accommodations at Fourwinds, all meals except two restaurant dinners, studio space, local transportation, and pickup and drop-off at the train station in Avignon. International airfare is not included.
Info: Jill Douglas, (310) 991-6132
