France: Try a boating adventure on the Canal du Midi
Captain your own vessel on the canals and waterways of Europe this summer. Le Boat tour company offers private boats for rent that couples, families or groups can use to explore at their own pace. Among the featured tour routes is southern France’s historic Canal du Midi, which flows from Toulouse through the Languedoc-Roussillon, one of France’s largest wine regions. Price: For July, $4,157 per boat on the Canal du Midi. Includes damage waiver and boat cleaning charge. Boat accommodates up to 10 people. Other rentals range in price depending on the size of the boat and departure date. In October, a one-week rental that sleeps up to six is $1,550.
