Thinking about planning a holiday escape? The Boulders resort north of Scottsdale, Ariz., has a winter deal that gives guests who stay two nights a $100 dining credit and discounts on spa services and golf.
The deal: The Boulders is a Waldorf Astoria property set amid big rocks and cactus in the Sonoran Desert town of Carefree, Ariz. It’s a place to curl up by the fireplace and sip apple cider or maybe go golfing or climb a boulder.
The resort’s New Holiday Traditions package includes a two-night minimum stay in a casita. It comes with a $100 food and beverage credit and 20% off at the spa and the on-site golf club. Welcome cocktails and a s’mores kit are part of the deal too. Rates for the deal start at $224 a night.
When: The offer is good for stays Nov. 30 through Jan. 2, based on availability.
Tested: I found rooms available for $229 a night on several midweek dates in December. For those who want to go for Christmas, I found rooms for $299 a night from Dec. 25-27. Note that prices don’t include a $30 daily resort fee and taxes.
