If you’re traveling to Palm Springs this week, come hungry. Palm Springs Desert Resorts Restaurant Week runs through Sunday, which means you can enjoy a three-course meal for $26 or $38 per person.
Restaurant weeks are a great excuse to be more adventurous about dining without spending a fortune. More than 90 restaurants in the Coachella Valley are offering restaurant week options this year. You’ll find menus on the event’s website, which filter by price.
One-off places such as the hip Citron, Essence in Desert Hot Springs and Tinto at the Saguaro Hotel are participating as well as well-known brands such as Roy’s Hawaiian Fusion and Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
Some examples of what main course choices you can expect for $26:
--Share Wine Lounge & Small Plate Bistro at the Hyatt Palm Springs is serving pan-roasted cod, grilled flat-iron steak, herb-roasted breast of chicken or porcini crimini and button mushroom risotto.
--Si Bon offers diners the choice of stuffed sole with lobster, Chimay braised Angus short ribs, chicken wienerschnitzel with farfalle pasta and veal scallopini with porcini mushrooms.
--The Nest is featuring Cajun pork chop, slow braised pot roast, grilled or blackened salmon, Parmesan-encrusted sole or chicken piccata.
