If you can decide by June 30 whether you want to go to Tokyo in late summer or early fall, you can nab a $581 round-trip fare from LAX on Singapore Airlines.

The fare, subject to availability until the last day of June, is for departures Sundays through Thursdays between Sept. 6 and Nov. 30. There is no minimum stay, but you may not stay more than a month. Your return may be any day of the week.
