USC players race after Christmas Day practice

Reporting from San Diego — USC practiced to Christmas music for a little more than an hour on Thursday at San Diego State.
Afterward, some players danced off the field as a few others -- including George Farmer, Adoree’ Jackson, Josh Shaw and Gerald Bowman -- lined up for a 50-yard race.
“Hold on, this is going to be a good race,” said Coach Steve Sarkisian, interrupting a reporter’s question during a news conference.
Farmer won by about five yards.
“Get out of here!” Sarkisian hollered, laughing.
Sarkisian said the team was in “good spirits” during practice.
