Trojans ranked No. 19 in College Football Playoff poll

USC made its first appearance in the College Football Playoff poll, which was released Tuesday.
The Trojans are ranked 19th.
Alabama is ranked No. 1, followed by Oregon, Florida State and Mississippi State.
USC plays No. 9 UCLA on Saturday at the Rose Bowl.
USC is 7-3 overall and 6-2 in the Pac-12 Conference. UCLA is 8-2 and 5-2 in conference play.
The Trojans are coming off Thursday’ a 38-30 victory over California.
