Defensive lineman Claude Pelon suffers ankle injury

USC defensive lineman Claude Pelon suffered an ankle injury Monday, putting his status for Thursday night’s game against Washington in doubt.
Coach Steve Sarkisian said Pelon would be examined after practice.
Pelon, a senior, started in place of Antwaun Woods at nose tackle against Arizona State. He made four tackles, one for a loss.
Woods has returned and is expected to play against Washington.
Pelon, who has six tackles, typically plays end.
Pelon suffered a knee injury during training camp that required arthroscopic surgery. He sat out the opener but returned against Idaho.
