Stephen Johnson III, who played quarterback at San Leandro (Calif.) High, has signed a letter of intent with UCLA.
Johnson will likely play receiver at UCLA. Johnson was the West Alameda County Conference-Foothill Division offensive player of the year in 2013, but missed all but two games last season because of foot injury.
Johnson has been clocked at 4.37 in the 40-yard dash. His father played at Mississippi State.
