USC football: Jeff Tedford observes Trojans practice
- Share via
Jeff Tedford is not coaching college football this season, but he is still around the game.
Tedford, the former coach at California, observed USC’s practice Tuesday. He watched the Trojans go through drills and chatted on the sideline with USC Coach Lane Kiffin, former Trojans coach John Robinson and various players.
Tedford has connections to the Trojans.
He coached Kiffin at Fresno State, and Clancy Pendergast, USC’s defensive coordinator, worked under Tedford for three seasons before Tedford was fired after finishing 3-9 in 2012.
Tedford coached Cal to a triple-overtime victory, 34-31, over USC in 2003, but that was his only win over the Trojans in his 11 seasons as Cal’s coach.
