UFC 184: Ronda Rousey, Cat Zingano make weight for title fight
UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and challenger Cat Zingano both made weight for their title bout Saturday night at Staples Center.
The bout, scheduled for five rounds, will headline UFC 184 on pay-per-view.
Rousey, one of the UFC’s top stars, weighed in at 135 pounds. She holds a 10-0 record and has finished each of her opponents. After an intense staredown, she promised to deliver an exciting victory on Saturday night.
Zingano, 9-0, came in at 134.5 pounds. When asked about Saturday’s fight, she replied succinctly, “Watch this.â€
All fighters for the UFC 184 card made weight except for Mark Munoz, who has two hours to go from 187.25 pounds to 186.
