Kevin Durant’s comment on Dwyane Wade sparks social media feud
Kevin Durant doesn’t think Dwyane Wade is one of the NBA’s top 10 players.
That’s what he told CineSport’s Noah Coslov in an interview discussing Sports Illustrated’s list of the league’s top players for the upcoming season. Oklahoma City forward Durant is ranked No. 2; Miami guard Wade comes in at No. 8.
Durant stated that former Thunder teammate James Harden, who now plays for Houston, should have been included in the top 10. When asked who should have been left out, Durant replies definitively and without hesitation, “Dwyane Wade!â€
That didn’t sit well with Wade, who responded via Twitter and Instagram:
Don’t believe me just watch https://t.co/4drL3Yevw0 — THREE (@DwyaneWade) September 25, 2013
Durant, in turn, issued a challenge for Wade:
Show me don’t tweet me.. — Kevin Durant (@KDTrey5) September 25, 2013
Of course, there’s not much Wade can do along those lines at this point. The NBA season doesn’t start for another six weeks or so. Wade and the Heat won’t face Durant’s Thunder until January or Harden’s Rockets until March.
Maybe in the meantime Wade can show Durant something else -- his three NBA championship rings.
