Clippers’ J.J. Redick has broken right hand, out 6 to 8 weeks

Clippers shooting guard J.J. Redick has a broken bone in his right hand and a torn ligament in his right thumb, the team announced on Sunday before they played the Indiana Pacers at Staples Center.
The Clippers said Redick is expected to be out approximately six to eight weeks.
He’ll be reevaluated Monday by Dr. Steve Shin, a hand specialist, to determine what treatment Redick will need.
Redick was injured in the second quarter of Friday night’s victory over the Sacramento Kings.
The 6-4, 190-pound Redick was midair when he collided with Kings 7-0, 270-pounder center DeMarcus Cousins. Redick fell hard to the court and landed on his back.
The Clippers will start Willie Green in place of Redick, but backup guard Jamal Crawford will get the bulk of the minutes in place of Redick.
Redick was fourth on the team in scoring, averaging 15.8 points a game. He was making 46% of his shots, 35.9% of his three-pointers.
