Four arrested in connection with assault following 49ers-Vikings game
SANTA CLARA, Calif. Police announced Friday they had arrested three men and a 17-year-old woman in connection to a parking lot fight following Monday’s 49ers game during which a Vikings fan was kicked and punched after falling to the ground. The incident was caught on video.
The 35-year-old victim suffered injuries that were non-life threatening, Santa Clara Police said. The 18-year-old security officer who tried to break up the fight also suffered injuries that were non-life threatening.
The four suspects were arrested for felony assault. They are:
Felix Chavira, 32, (wearing number 28 49ers jersey in the video) and a resident of Hollister.
Juan Arias, 33, (wearing a white jacket in the video) and a resident of Hollister.
Eric Martinez, 30, (wearing number 80 49ers jersey in the video) and a resident of San Jose.
A 17-year-old woman whom police did not name because she is a juvenile.
One of the alleged assailants is a 49ers season-ticket holder and the team announced it has revoked his tickets and personal seat license.
“We are steadfast in our commitment to fostering a safe end enjoyable environment at Levi’s Stadium for all visitors and remind fans that behavior like this will not be tolerated,†the team said in a statement.
Last year two men were hospitalized after a vicious assault in a Levi’s Stadium restroom prior to an October 5 game against the Chiefs. That assault, which left one of the victims with a brain injury, also was captured on video.
