Omar Kelly grades Dolphins’ performance vs. Ravens

The Dolphins held the Ravens to 3.6 yards per carry on Baltimore’s 26 attempts, making Sunday’s game the fifth time this season Miami held an opponent to fewer than 100 rushing yards. What’s even more impressive is that Miami did it without two injured defensive lineman (Earl Mitchell and C.J. Mosley). Rookie defensive tackle Jordan Phillips (97), Miami’s 2015 second-round pick, made a couple of impact plays in his first NFL start.

Jordan Cameron was signed in the offseason with the belief that he could seamlessly replace Charles Clay, and serve as Miami’s seam threat. Against the Ravens, Cameron caught one of three passes thrown his way for four yards. He dropped one pass, and was flagged for a false start that made a third-and-2 more difficult to convert. That drive stalled. At this rate, the Dolphins won’t honor the second-year of Cameron’s two-year, $15 million contract, which is slated to play him $7.5 million in 2016.
