Tim Tebow hits a home run on the first pitch of his professional baseball career (Video)

Tim Tebow’s professional baseball career got off to a perfect start.

The former football star who is now a 29-year-old prospect with the New York Mets, Tebow played in his very first instructional league game on Wednesday.

And this is what he did with the very first pitch he saw:

That’s one hit, one at-bat, one home run.

Perfect.

According to Sports Illustrated, the ball was thrown by former Vanderbilt pitcher John Kilichowski, who is now with the St. Louis Cardinals organization. And he’s a big Florida football fan.

And it just so happens Tebow won two national championships and a Heisman Trophy with the Gators.

Anyway, I digress. Later on Wednesday, Tebow hit into a double play on his second professional at-bat.

Which just goes to show nobody’s perfect.

Not even Tim Tebow.
