Second-year power forward Ryan Kelly scored a game-high 30 points on Friday nights, making a quick appearance with the D-Fenders.

The Lakers briefly assigned Kelly to their NBA Development League affiliate, and the Duke product helped lead the D-Fenders (9-19) to a 136-126 victory over the Bakersfield Jam (19-9).

Kelly hit eight of 18 from the field, along with 11 of 12 free-throw attempts.

Vander Blue scored 27 points, Jamaal Franklin had 22 with 14 rebounds and Jabari Brown, who went through training camp with the Lakers, added 21 points.

Former Clippers forward Reggie Bullock, recently traded to the Phoenix Suns, scored 26 points with 11 rebounds on assignment with the Jam.

Kelly, who has started the last four games out of position at small forward, was recalled by the Lakers (13-34) after the game and will travel with the team to New York to play the Knicks (9-38) on Sunday.
