Rick Friedman Reader Comment of the Day: “We saw how losing Lamar threw the bench into a state of perpetual flummox. No hard roles were defined, the MWP experiment as “Bench leader” was a disaster and Steve Blake has been a bust.
“Our fast break points last year were largely derivative of Lamar pushing the ball after a rebound. Steve Blake has seemingly forgot how to probe a defense, instead stopping at the 3 point line, consistently.
I dunno if this is a rumor or a possibility, but Lamar leaving created a vacuum from which our bench never recovered. Not one signing stepped up in a meaningful, consistent way and nothing Mike Brown tried worked.” -- Jamie Sweet
