Chris Paul’s son imitates Blake Griffin’s game face [Video]
After the Clippers beat the Memphis Grizzlies, 87-86, in Game 3 of their Western Conference first-round playoff series, Chris Paul’s son sat in his father’s lap as the All-Star point guard was interviewed by reporters.
Paul was asked about a fourth-quarter sequence in which he dished the ball to Blake Griffin, who made a huge slam dunk with less than two minutes remaining to put the Clippers up by four, 84-80.
“I just know I got into the lane,†Paul said. “I saw the two guys looking at me and I saw Blake [Griffin].â€
Paul then turned to his adorable 2-year-old son and implored him to imitate Griffin’s facial expression when the Clippers’ power forward wants the ball in the lane, a look that signals an imminent jam.
“Make the Blake face,†Paul said to his son, Chris.
Paul’s son then proceeds to lower his head, turn toward the reporters, and give them a full-hearted glare.
It’s beyond funny and eerily accurate. Check it out in the video above.
The Clippers, who have a 2-1 lead over Memphis, play in Game 4 at Staples Center on Monday evening. Win or lose, hopefully little Chris will be featured in the team’s next interview.
