Update: It is interesting to note that the latest subject of “NHL 36” happens to be the Kings’ Mike Richards. Richards was tracked by a camera crew from NBC Sports Network on Wednesday and will be followed through his game-day activities Thursday. Even Coach Darryl Sutter was surprised, noting that Richards is a relatively private guy. Sutter spoke about the low-key leadership of Richards. “I’m sure a lot of it is natural,” Sutter said. “The game is such that leadership is defined a lot of times by star players or [being in the] public eye or popular players or guys that are well-spoken. But at the end of the day, it’s about actual performance in big situations, right? That’s really how it’s always measured. Everything else is just sort of smoke.”
