UCLA women complete season sweep of USC, 71-60

Jordin Canada sparked an 11-0 run over the final 2 minutes 39 seconds as the UCLA women’s basketball team completed a regular-season sweep of USC with a 71-60 win on Sunday night at UCLA.
Brianna Barrett pulled USC into a 60-60 tie with 3:06 left, but Kacy Swain converted a pair of free throws to start the run. Canada’s jumper on an inbounds play as the shot clock expired with 1:21 to play made it 64-60 and she added a jumper in the lane to give the Bruins a six-point lead with 38 seconds left.
USC (11-6, 3-3 Pac-12) missed six shots during the Bruins’ closing run.
UCLA won the conference opener at USC, 59-52. The Trojans swept the season series last year.
Kari Korver finished with a career-high 23 points for the Bruins (8-9, 4-2), with Canada adding 15 points and six rebounds. Nirra Fields added 14 points.
Alexyz Vaioletama led USC with 17 points.
