Update: A scheduling quirk makes this the first game of the season between the teams, who will play each other four times in seven weeks. Ducks Coach Bruce Boudreau has kept tabs on the Kings and, asked for his assessment about left wing Milan Lucic, said, “Other than being a monster? He’s big. He’s strong. He’s skating, to me, a lot better than he did last year.” Boudreau said Saturday he didn’t know where he would play newly acquired left wing David Perron as the Ducks look to integrate Perron while continuing the strong defensive play generated lately by second-line players Ryan Kesler and Jakob Silfverberg. Kings center Vincent Lecavalier has acclimated well and has bumped Dustin Brown to the fourth line while getting more ice time the last two games. Coach Darryl Sutter called the Kings’ loss Saturday “sloppy” after they played the first of three games in four days. The Ducks were 4-0-1 against the Kings last season, and two of the games went to a shootout.
