Track & Field: LB Poly girls win state 4x100 relay

Long Beach Poly’s girls 4x100 relay has won the first event at today’s state championships in Clovis. The Jackrabbits trailed by five meters heading into the final leg before Ariana Washington took the baton and powered her team to a national-leading 45.19 seconds.
San Jose Woodcreek won the boys 4x100 at 41.20 after Fresno Edison, which ran 41.09, was disqualified after a lane infraction on the third turn.
