So far, the defenses have dominated in the first game of the Kickoff Classic at Mission Viejo High.

There is no score through two quarters of today’s intersectional matchup between Loyola and Crenshaw. Jacob Knight has rushed 12 times for 73 yards for Crenshaw, which has committed six costly penalties.

Cougars quarterback Ajene Harris has completed three of nine passes for 19 yards and was intercepted by Loyola’s Joe Harding in the second quarter. Nick Imbrale has a 57-yard reception for Loyola.

Loyola missed a 47-yard field goal on its first drive and the Cubs’ last four possessions ended on punts. Crenshaw punted on four of its six possessions.
