Track: Matt Katnik is the star at Trinity League finals

Who knew that a shot putter could create so much excitement?
St. John Bosco’s Matt Katnik was the star at Friday’s Trinity League track and field championships. He won his specialty with a career-best effort of 72 feet, 3 inches.
St. John Bosco freshman Re-al Mitchell also made a big impression, winning the 200 in 21.97 and finishing second to teammate Sean McGrew in the 100 in 11.01. McGrew won in 10.84.
In the Marmonte League finals, Lauren Rain Williams of Oaks Christian sped to a time of 11.78 in winning the 100 and took the 200 in 23.77.
