Soccer: L.A. Cathedral finishes third in Florida tournament

The L.A. Cathedral soccer team didn’t allow a single goal in regulation during the Montverde tournament in Florida this week.

Led by goalie Derrick Garcia, Cathedral took third place after a 1-0 win over Melbourne on Saturday. Elijah Rojas scored the golden goal in overtime.

Cathedral’s only loss was to No. 1 Montverde on penalty kicks after a 0-0 tie in regulation.
