Palos Verdes, San Marcos win multiple honors for Southern Section academic awards [Updated]

Palos Verdes has taken home multiple awards in the CIF Southern Section Academic Awards program for best team GPA. Awards were given out in 22 sports.
Palos Verdes had the highest GPAs in baseball (3.59), boys’ soccer (3.52) and girls’ water polo.
Corona del Mar, which won the state Division III bowl game in football, also won the team award with a GPA of 3.35.
The big winner, though, was San Marcos, which won six team titles _ boys’ basketball (3.75), boys’ golf (3.77), girls’ soccer (3.73), boys’ track (3.54), boys’ water polo (3.61) and girls’ track (3.69).
