Girls’ basketball: Top games set for Palisades tournament quarterfinals
Let the real games begin. There’s some great quarterfinal matchups on Wednesday in the Palisades tournament.
Troy will play Chaminade at 4 p.m., followed by Windward against Keppel at 5:30 p.m. and Palisades taking on No. 1 Mater Dei at 7 p.m. At 8:30 p.m., Garces will face Oaks Christian.
On Tuesday, Mater Dei defeated Long Beach Millikan, 96-35. Katie Lou Samuelson scored 30 points. Palisades defeated Palos Verdes, 54-22. Bianca King had 24 points and freshman Sammy Spanier had 16 points.
Garces defeated Gardena Serra, 60-53, in overtime. Nautica Morrow had 25 points for Serra. Oaks Christian defeated West Torrance, 65-50. Katie Campbell scored 21 points.
