Girls’ basketball: Palisades tournament continues with top matchups
It’s day three of the Palisades girls’ basketball tournament, and there are some good matchups on Wednesday.
They include Palisades-Windward at 4 p.m.; Troy vs. Chaminade at 5:30 p.m.; Valencia vs. Lynwood at 7 p.m. and Alemany vs. Garces at 8:30 p.m.
On Tuesday, Lynwood defeated Palos Verdes, 68-53, with Jazmine Johnson scoring 21 points. Sophia Takano had 25 points for Palos Verdes. Sophomore Kenadee Honaker scored 21 points in Valencia’s 60-52 win over Bishop Montgomery.
Alemany defeated Riverside North, 49-22. Kate Tokuhara had 12 points. Garces defeated Westchester, 69-31, with 6-3 sophomore Celeste West scoring 15 points.
