Football: With help from Gardena Serra, Narbonne is able to watch film, hold walk through

Thanks to Gardena Serra Coach Scott Altenberg and the school administration, Narbonne’s football team was able to watch film in the Serra film room and hold a walk through on the Serra football field Tuesday afternoon despite the LAUSD closure of all campuses. Narbonne would have been unable to practice without Serra allowing players to come on the campus of the private school.
Narbonne is preparing to face Clayton Valley on Saturday in a CIF state championshp Division 1-A bowl game in Sacramento.
Although Narbonne had no equipment and no pads, Coach Manuel Douglas said the team treated it as if it were a Monday practice, which is usually devoted toward reviewing film.
“It’s not going to stop us,” Douglas said. “This isn’t an excuse why we can’t win.”
Most of all, Douglas wanted to express his gratitude to Altenberg.
“Scott was gracious enough to let us use his film room,” he said.
