Football: Unbeaten South East faces Garfield, then Roosevelt
- Share via
With a 6-0 record and 2-0 mark in the Eastern League, unbeaten South East is about to find out just how good it really is with home games against Garfield on Friday night and Roosevelt next week.
“They’re as good as advertised,” Garfield Coach Lorenzo Hernandez said.
Garfield has lost to South East the last two seasons, so Hernandez knows his players will have plenty of incentive. It will be up to sophomore linebacker Joseph Silva and junior defensive back Cleo Session to be effective tacklers against South East quarterback Rayquan Ford and running back Daniel Belton.
Garfield is 2-3 overall and 1-0 in league. The Bulldogs knocked off previously unbeaten Huntington Park in their last game.
