How times have changed at Calabasas, once a perennial last-place finisher in football. Now an SEC school, Kentucky, has offered sophomores Tristan Gebbia and Keyshawn Johnson Jr., Coach Casey Clausen said.
Clausen, who played quarterback at Tennessee, is in his first season as coach at Calabasas, which is 6-5 and plays top-seeded West Torrance in a quarterfinal game of the Western Division playoffs on Friday.
Gebbia, a quarterback transfer from Oaks Christian, has passed for 2,996 yards and 30 touchdowns in his first season on varsity.
Johnson, a receiver transfer from Mission Viejo, has caught 29 passes for 472 yards.
