Football: San Fernando begins post-Cristian Solano era

After winning back-to-back City Section Division II championships behind quarterback Cristian Solano, San Fernando begins the post-Solano era hoping to rely on a new group of players to keep it competitive.
Coach Robert Garcia will turn to last year’s backup quarterback, Robert Gonzalez, while adding some more running to the attack thanks to the return of several experienced offensive linemen.
There are several returning all-league players on defense, led by defensive back Oscar Salazar, an All-City selection.
